Social Media Content

When you share a link from Instagram, Threads, or other supported platforms, we access the publicly available content at that URL to extract place information. We do not access your social media accounts or private content.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service, including AI-powered place extraction
• Create and manage your account
• Save and organize places on your personal map
• Improve our AI extraction accuracy and Service quality

Your saved places are private by default. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: We use third-party services including Google Gemini (AI extraction), Clerk (authentication), and Railway (hosting) to operate the Service.
• At Your Direction: When you share collections or places with others, the shared content becomes visible to those you share with.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Railway. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your account data and saved places for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
